Kelda's Philosophy & Approach
Approach
Her extensive experience working with children has profoundly shaped her approach as an educator. Kelda believes that confidence, resilience, and curiosity grow best when young people are given space to explore, take appropriate risks, and connect meaningfully with the natural world. She prioritizes building positive relationships with each child, fostering a sense of belonging while encouraging independence and teamwork.
Fun Facts
Outside of her professional role, Kelda spends as much time outdoors as possible in every season, exploring the landscapes of the Yukon. Whether hiking, paddling, or travelling snowy trails in winter, she finds joy in immersing herself in the land. She especially values sharing these adventures with her dog, who is always a steady and enthusiastic companion on the journey.
