's Philosophy & Approach

Approach

My educational experiences shaped my thinking and sparked my passion for nature and the goal to help protect it.

I think conservation begins with educating younger generations about the importance of the environment so that they may be able to protect it one day.

Fun Facts

My name is Tessie and I was born in Ontario but grew up in the North. I moved to Whitehorse in 2010, and lived in Yellowknife beforehand. My childhood involved lots of camping, hiking, canoeing and exploring nature. In my spare time, I enjoy many activities such as photography, kayaking, playing soccer and reading.
